Basic Network Knowledge for CCTV Systems

This beginner-level training is made for technicians and installers who are new to working with IP CCTV systems to introduce the essential networking concepts required for working with modern IP-based CCTV systems.

Participants will gain foundational knowledge in network architecture, IP addressing, etc., which are critical for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of networked surveillance systems.

The course includes practical demonstrations and real-world scenarios to help learners understand how to connect IP cameras, configure NVRs, and resolve common network issues encountered in CCTV deployments.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

- Understand basic networking concepts such as IP addresses, subnet masks, and gateways.

- Identify the components of a CCTV network (switches, routers, NVRs, PoE devices, etc.).

- Configure static and dynamic IP addresses for cameras and NVRs.

- Use tools like ping and IP scanner to test and troubleshoot network connectivity.
